Originally from Michigan, James has been an Alaskan resident since 2004. He attended Albion College where he majored in mathematics and chemistry, the University of Maine, where he studied physical chemistry, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks where he studied music theory. James enjoys playing cello in chamber groups, and singing in choirs. His favorite parts of Festival are meeting new people, forging new relationships, and creating music together with others.

Josh Bennett has been doing sound in Fairbanks for over five years and in the industry for over ten. Josh received an audio degree from one of the leading schools in the Production industry. "I strive to keep Fairbanks up to date with the rest of the industry by constantly updating equipment and focusing on quality not quantity."

Denali Outreach Coordinator

Kris Capps is a longtime Alaska journalist, who has made Interior Alaska her home for 32 years. She divides her time between Denali National Park, where she raised her daughter, and Fairbanks. She is currently the daily columnist and community editor for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. Kris spearheads the non-profit Kids In Motion and the Denali Arts & Humanities Alliance, which have both won many national and statewide awards. She is the award-winning author of numerous guidebooks, including Denali Road Guide and Denali Walks.

Levi S. Nilsson, DBA Apogee Studios, has been involved with Festival since the late 80's, first as a participant, then as a consultant and service provider. He was the Festival Photographer in the early 90's and also provided audio recordings in the early 90's through early 2000. He began providing video services around 1995 at the request of Nancy Marriott and has recorded over 100 performances for Festival in the last 25 years. Levi is also an accomplished performer. He has worked as an actor, singer, voice talent and dancer in stage, radio, syndicated TV, and feature films. His production credits include hundreds of television commercials, radio spots, albums, feature length films, syndicated magazines, television productions (FOX, ABC, Discovery, Destination America, HG TV) and more. Festival Photographer

Todd is the Photo Manager for UAF's Marketing and Communications office. A 35-year resident of Alaska, he is an avid and accomplished digital photographer. Besides teaching a photography course, Todd will be taking photos during the two weeks for publication on the FSAF website and for use in Festival promotional material. His photos are available for purchase online during and after the Festival at www.parispub.smugmug.com.
