Morgan enjoys sharing with her local students in classes, workshops, and private lessons. She is a registered instructor with Yoga Alliance and completed an advanced study program in mindfulness yoga and meditation at Spirit Rock. She currently receives training at the Yoga Garden (CA) in somatic yoga therapeutics, including iRest Yoga Nidra with Richard Miller.

Music Therapy

Carolyn Dachinger is Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Graduate Studies in Music Therapy at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. A board-certified music therapist since 2006, Carolyn has worked with individuals of all ages in a variety of medical, educational, psychiatric, rehabilitative, and community settings in Florida and Texas. Her interests include the application of music to address cognition and psychosocial wellness, and integration of music into personal self-care practices.

Gianna Drogheo has sung diverse styles of music from motets to jazz standards. With a Masters in Vocal Performance, she has directed choirs and taught private voice lessons for over 30 years. For the last 10 years, Gianna has been studying the healing power of music and voice with such masters as Jill Purce, Fabien Maman and Jonathan Goldman.

Mark Johnson has been helping people improve their health as a nationally-accredited instructor since 1991. The Taoist Tai Chi Society offers year-round instruction world-wide, including at their branch in Fairbanks, AK.


Judy Kreith

Judy Kreith received her Masters in Dance Education from Stanford. She has taught and performed in Cuba, Colorado, California and throughout Alaska. She received grants to study dance in The Gambia, West Africa and in Cuba and she continues to travel to Cuba to pursue research in the history of Cuban Music and Dance. Sharing history, culture and the joy of dancing are her goals in her classes. Currently residing in Boulder, Colorado she is teaching classes and workshops in a variety of dance styles to children and adults.


Ruth Merriman

Ruth is the Director and principal teacher of the Creative Movement Program for the North Star Ballet School in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was introduced to Pilates through the dance program and went on to complete her first mat certification in 2009. She became certified in the Peak Pilates Program integrating mat and apparatus in 2011. Ruth became comprehensively certified with the Pilates Method Alliance in 2015. The PMA is a certifying agency with the only NCCA (National Commision for Certifying Agencies) accredited certification program for Pilates teachers. Ruth currently teaches mat and apparatus classes for the school and general public.

Karen Miller is Professor and Director of Music Therapy at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Karen is a Board-Certified Music Therapist whose areas of specialization include music therapy in the psychiatric treatment of adolescents, Neurologic Music Therapy in the treatment of patients with neurologic disorders, and the use of songwriting as a treatment modality. Karen is also a singer/songwriter who uses songwriting as her own creative outlet and as a tool in self-care.

Pam Nelson is a Craniosacral therapist in Fairbanks and a certified teacher of the 4-day intensive workshop "Awakening The Illuminated Heart" for Drunvalo Melchizedek’s School of Remembering®. She also studied South American traditional healing work with Alberto Villoldo and Jose Luiz Herrera. Pam is a retired public school and homeschool teacher and now lives in Fairbanks after spending 23 years in rural Alaska.

Vicki Robinson is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais practitioner® in Seattle, Washington. She’s been teaching group classes, workshops and individual lessons since 2000. Her goal is to help people move optimally throughout their day and life, with minimal pain and discomfort and increased efficiency and ease. She also incorporates Somatic Experiencing, a body-based approach to assist people in recovering from the effects of trauma. Her clients have a wide range of interests but share a common wish to improve balance, coordination and joy in all activities.


Shelly Yoshida

Aerial Yoga

Shelly has been practicing and performing aerial acrobatics as well other circus acts (including but not limited to; fire dancing/spinning, stilts walking, and ring master acts) for over a decade. After extensive training and performing in aerial acts, fire spinning, as well as teaching Bikram yoga all over the country (i.e., California, Michigan, Florida, Illinois, Ohio, Nevada, Oregon, Georgia, and more), she moved to Fairbanks, AK in 2013. Shelly has been teaching aerial arts including aerial hammock and silks at the Artisan's courtyard since June 2013. Shelly is very passionate about teaching not just tricks, but the form and most importantly, focusing on the alignment of the body while the students are in the postures. Shelly loves to share her knowledge to kids as well as to adults and hopes to increase the "circus population" right here in Fairbanks. Whether you're just curious about what we do, or want to see what we're all about, please feel free to come by and say "hi"!!! Shelly's dream is to bring the community together and give back to the community via fun fitness. She can't wait to meet you all!


James Yoshizawa

James Yoshizawa

Percussion

James Yoshizawa is a Los Angeles-based drummer, percussionist and educator. He holds a B.M. in Percussion Performance from CSU Long Beach and has studied many instruments including drumset, mallet percussion, hand percussion (congas, bongos, bones, pandeiro, frame drums, riq), and orchestral percussion. He has performed with many great artists such as Brad Dutz, Katisse Buckingham, Ron Stout, Chris Wabich and Michael Carney.
