Join experience watercolor artist and teacher Helen Klebesadel as you instructor for this unique opportunity for watercolor painters at all levels to take the next step in their watercolor paintings. The exact curriculum will be determined by the needs and interests to those who sign up for the workshop. Designed for beginners to expert painters, each day will include shared technique demos and individual feedback to move your paintings forward.
1) One set of tube of up to 12 watercolor paints (a basic set of good quality paintsplus ‘violet’ will work). At the minimum have at least four tubes of watercolorpaints including one red, blue, yellow, and a violet.2) Your favorite brushes to include: a 1 or 2 inch flat brush, #10 or 8 rounds forlarge areas, #5 or 7 rounds for basic work, # 3 or 4 ‘rigger or ‘liner’ or ‘script’brush, and any size fan brush for fun (optional)3) 5-8 sheets of a good quality (140 lb), approximately 15x22 o (a half sheet of22x30), cold press (textured) or hot press (smooth) watercolor paper Arches 140lb cold press WC paper prefered)4) Two water containers (quart containers)5) A white plate, enamel butcher’s tray, or watercolor palette of your choice6) Art Masking Fluid (not permanent) or Drawing Gum: Winsor Newton, Frisket, orPebeo, etc.7) Small cups or jars for mixing up larger amounts of paint. 9) A WC painting board large enough to hold your largest paper (corrugated plastic, foam core, plywood, Formica or Masonite panels).10) Sketchbook for notes (this watercolor sketchbook can also work)
11.) 8 to 10 sheets of 140 lb Arches watercolor paper, aprox. 15x 22 or 22x30 (or similar high quality paper)12.) Two water containers (quart containers)13.) A Palette: white plate, enamel butcher’s tray, or watercolor palette14.) One bottle of a liquid art masking fluid (Winsor Newton, Frisket, or Misket, etc)15.) 2 rolled of masking tape (at least 1 inch wide)16.) 1 roll of scotch tape17.) Xacto knife18.) Pencils and kneaded eraser19.) A Watercolor Paint board, approximately 24x16 (to tape your paper to)
