Singers: Are you ready to take those car/shower solos to the next level? Do you have a duet that needs to be heard? Do you sing in a choir and want to be ready to try out for those solo parts? Are you auditioning for an upcoming show? Do you have THAT song that you have always wanted to perform but lacked the venue, or the confidence? This workshop is designed for singers of all ages, levels and abilities to sing under the direction of long-time guest artist Ron Drotos. Ron has Broadway experience coaching singers and actors and will help you make the song yours and help you develop the confidence and stage presence to deliver an amazing performance! You'll be coached on choosing songs, interpreting lyrics, phrasing and tempos, setting your best key, stage presence, patter, and microphone technique. You will rehearse your music in a supportive, encouraging, “master class” environment. The instructor will provide piano accompaniment and performance tips, while your classmates observe and provide constructive feedback. You will create a personalized arrangement of your song, memorize the lyrics, and perform it at the end of the week. You may perform individually or with a small group (duet, trio, quartet, etc.), and choose songs from any style – pop, rock & roll, jazz, Broadway show tunes, blues, folk, gospel, country, or even an original piece that you composed yourself. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, this course will help you develop your own personal singing style, while preparing for a fun and amazing Cabaret performance at the end of the week.
