Entering its 40th season, the FSAF Opera and Musical Theatre Program is an intensive, two-week training opportunity designed primarily for young singers who are pursuing careers as classical performers. Each student is cast in a minimum of two opera or musical theater scenes, and receives their casting assignments prior to the beginning of the program. During the course of the festival, students participate in vocal coachings and lessons, master classes and staging rehearsals, and perform in a fully costumed scenes production at the end of the two weeks. Additional concerts and performances take place throughout the festival. Students are expected to arrive at the festival with music learned, and have the opportunity to study with the dynamic FSAF faculty each day.

This year's program has two pricing options"

Opera and Musical Theatre Program: $700

                Spend two weeks with our incredible faculty honing your personal skills and working with the other registrants to stage and perform incredible scenes and songs.

Daily Schedule:

• 11am-noon: Professional Development Sessions with Faculty
• 1-5pm: Coaching and Lessons with Opera Faculty

Opera and Musical Theater Program with Lodging and Transportation:  $1,500

               Perfect for out of town students who are looking for an Alaskan Adventure while honing their craft.  This option includes apartment-style housing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and ground transportation.

The faculty were outstanding and I enjoyed having personalized attention from the teachers and coaches. Our days were filled to the brim with coachings, lessons, masterclasses, and rehearsals as we learned and polished opera and musical theater scenes that were performed at the end of the two-week festival.
